About Us: Behind electriciansnet.com.au

We decided to create electriciansnet.com.au after realising that despite the availability of a small number of directory services, there was not one that was actually dedicated to the electrical industry. Sure, by persevering you could find a local electrician or technician in some obscure directory, but we thought you should be able to find one very quickly if you are using the Internet.

Why not build a domain that only deals with professionals and specialists employed in the electrical industry?

Why not create a new type of directory that provides access to a wide range of qualified electricians and technicians at the touch of a button?

Why not include all the relevant information and links that are industry based?

Up until now there hasn't been a website that embraces the various aspects of the Australian electro-technology industry. So in effect our website offers more that just a directory service. We are planning to provide useful information about the entire electrical industry with links to representative bodies, electrical suppliers, engineers, draftsmen and much more.

The website will also be valuable for trades people looking to enhance their skills by presenting information about training courses. Apprentices looking for work will also find it useful, as there will be an employment section. The general public and those employed in the industry will be able to find out about exhibitions and tradeshows relevant to the electro-technology industry.

The creator of the website, Barney Mezey, a qualified electrician, has been working in the electrical industry for almost fifteen years. After starting out as an apprentice in the sign industry, he was employed by large government firms as well as by several electrical contracting businesses acquiring all the necessary skills as an electrician.

Barney has gained broad experience and knowledge through operating his own business for the past seven years and through undertaking a number of courses including renewable energy, data cabling, security systems and automation. While working in the electrical industry Barney also attended university to attain a Bachelor of Arts degree, which has provided him with additional skills to be able to undertake this initiative.
